Anne Hélène & Bernard Cavasa
Anne-Hélène & Bernard are the 2007 American Classic Balboa Champions!
Together created they Studio Hop, a Swing dancing school in 2001. It is there that they dance,
choreograph and participate in numerous shows, opening their own room in January 2003, then
enlarging it with a new studio in January 2011 that allows them to accommodate more teachers
and provide more choice of courses and their students.
Anne-Hélène Cavasa: Anne-Hélène fell into dance at an early age: ballet, jazz, modern
jazz, contemporary ... she discovered Swing dancing in late 1997, and this was the beginning
of a new passion. She started teaching in 2001, currently scheduled, then noted for her grace
and her footwork, she quickly called in the big international internships in Europe, America,
Asia & Australia. Ongoing technical research, her teaching is imbued with Bernard precision,
style and humour.
Bernard Cavasa: Bernard is steeped in jazz, blues since birth. He is an amateur musician
with a passion for American musical culture, while practicing many sports. He discovered dance with
Anne-Hélène late 1997, and it became a revelation. He runs all the great courses and festivals in
the world as a student and then from 2001 as a teacher. Co-founder of the school, his teaching
reflects his dance technique, fluid, with a unique vocabulary!
